Local suburb named Best in Nation
Cottage Lake, Wash.
COTTAGE LAKE, Wash. -- A local suburb has been named the top ‘Booming Suburb’ in a recent Coldwell Banker survey.
The Real Estate company rated 1,500 communities based on factors like job growth, unemployment, safety, schools, outdoor activities and leisure activities.
Cottage Lake, Wash. topped the list, beating out other top suburbs in California and Florida. Eleven other suburbs in Washington made the list, too.
Coldwell Banker described Cottage Lake as “resembling the idyllic ‘Leave It to Beaver’ setting, situated on a beautiful lake.”
The suburb is about 20 miles northeast of Seattle, very close to Woodinville, and features a relatively low unemployment rate among residents at 5.6 percent..
