Man shot, critically injured at Olympia intersection, police say
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- A man crossing the intersection of Plum and Union was shot and critically injured Monday night by a man in a vehicle after they had gotten into a confrontation, police said.
The incident occurred at about 8:15 p.m. when two men were walking across the intersection and got into a confrontation with two people in a vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle shot one of the pedestrians twice -- in the chest and elbow. The wounded man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries.
Police said all three remaining people -- men in their 20s -- stayed at the scene and were being questioned.
