New research could settle "Bedroom Thermostat Wars"

SEATTLE -- For decades, couples have been fighting about how cold or how hot their bedrooms should be.  New research may help (or hurt) your argument.

A recent study by the National Institutes of Health says a colder bedroom could help energize your metabolism through the day.  That's because the body needs to burn calories to maintain your body temperature.  They found that people even burned a few more calories during the day, and had a lower diabetes risk.

A sleep specialist recently discussed this issue with Q13 FOX's sister station in St. Louis, KTVI.  Click above to watch their interview.
