Authorities confirm cause of death for 4 found in Graham, WA home

The causes of death have been determined for the four people found dead inside a Graham home during a New Year’s Eve welfare check.

On Dec. 31, deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a home on Eastwood Avenue East, south of Puyallup, around 10:50 a.m.

According to a Pierce County search warrant, deputies found one woman dead on a bed in an upstairs room, and a man dead inside the master bathroom on the same floor with a handgun lying next to the toilet.

Deputies found the other two individuals after a second search through the home. The exact location of the other two bodies was not disclosed, but according to the search warrant, deputies found notes on a refrigerator that read, "Time of Death July 24th 5:45 AM" and "Time of death July 24th 3:00 PM." There also appeared to be an unknown liquid leaking out of a large refrigerator or freezer in the garage.

On Friday, Jan. 10, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identities of the deceased and their causes and manners of death.

According to the ME, 68-year-old William Vosler and 66-year-old Eileen Vosler both died by homicide. William’s cause of death was a stab wound to the chest and blunt head trauma. Eileen suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck.

Shane Vosler, 33, died from a gunshot wound to the head. His manner of death was ruled a suicide.

Sue Bin Lee, 34, also died from a gunshot wound to the head, but her manner of death is still undetermined. The investigation is ongoing.

4 found dead inside Graham home, deputies investigating

Four people were found dead inside a Graham home as Pierce County deputies performed a welfare check on Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Department said the New Year’s Eve welfare check was the fourth request they had received to check on the home. Deputies initially responded on Dec. 23, noting there were no signs of forced entry into the home, though they couldn’t see through the windows. There was also no way for deputies to get inside.

Additional welfare checks were requested on Dec. 29 and 30, but deputies still didn’t have enough information to justify forcing entry. Deputies eventually discovered the bodies after receiving a fourth call, where William Vosler's son climbed on the roof and went through a window, saying he saw Sue in a room covered in blood.

The Sheriff’s Department will release more information when it becomes available.
