WANTED IN LAKE STEVENS June 12, 2015 -- Lake Stevens detectives need your help finding two convicted thieves they say are targeting not only businesses but vulnerable victims. Detective Frankie Nelson with the North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit says Robert ‘Robby Gilleland’ and Shannon Fincher broke into the Ace Hardware store in Lake Stevens around 3am on May 9th. “They were in the enclosed area for over an hour as we saw on the video, taking their time, so they obviously felt comfortable." Det. Nelson says they stole a lawnmower, weed eaters, even large plants, seven tall propane heaters and 42 butterfly nets. Just a day earlier, Det. Nelson says Gilleland and Fincher were driving Robby's tan Ford F-150 pickup truck when they targeted a pregnant woman at a Lake Stevens dog park. "A guy got out of that car, smashed her window, grabbed her purse and then took off and she`s sitting there and can`t do anything because she`s pregnant, she`s got her dogs to deal with and responsibilities there at hand. She was hopeless and very vulnerable."
Within 30 minutes, the two were caught on surveillance camera using the key and passcodes in her purse to break into the woman's storage unit. "They obviously had a unit number but didn`t know where to go once they got behind the gate, so you can see them looking around for a while and the passenger of the truck who’d actually gotten out and found the physical unit waves in the driver to back the truck in and then you can see the both of them loading our victim`s property into their truck before they fill that thing up, it`s even piled over and then they proceed to leave out the gate.” Detective Nelson says Fincher, who has a conviction for vehicle prowling, and Gilleland, who got popped for theft and forgery, sold the stolen goods on offerupnow.com. “These guys need to be caught. Our victims are fearful. The victim of the Ace Hardware is very upset about what happened and it just so happened that that burglary occurred the night before their busiest day, so he was very frustrated in all of that. The victim of the vehicle prowl and then whose storage unit was burglarized, she`s in extreme fear. She feels very vulnerable and these suspects made her feel that way which is just horrible. Anybody who`s been a victim of a crime no matter what it is feels vulnerable, you know, their lives have been invaded by these suspects, which is disheartening.” Fincher's 5’11” and weighs around 280 to 300 pounds. Gilleland is 5’9”. His truck is a 2001 tan Ford F-150 Crew Cab with Washington license plates C74232B.
