Percy Harvin returns to Seahawks after hip surgery

RENTON -- Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin tweeted out, "12th man, I'm back and ready... countdown begins" Monday afternoon.

Head Coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Harvin had returned to the organization after undergoing hip surgery on Aug.1 to repair a torn labrum. The typical recovery time for this is three to four months, but Harvin has been tweeting hints that he would be back sooner than expected.

Harvin was placed on the physically unable to perform list but can return Week Seven and is eligible to start practicing Oct. 15. Harvin is set for a physical next week and, if he passes, would have three weeks to practice and possibly return to the roster.
