Pike Place flute-player's van broken into -- putting his dream in jeopardy

A Tacoma man’s dream of traveling to Australia is in jeopardy after a thief smashed the window of his van.

“I noticed there was glass all over the street and in my car,” said  Courtland Richardson.

He uses the vehicle to travel to Pike Place Market almost every day to play to play the flute for tips.  Now, his van is parked because the window is covered with a trash bag and tape.

“If I can just get the window fixed, I can come up here more frequently and not ride the bus and hopefully earn that money,” he said.

Courtland has been saving up for a passport and needs to play three to four days a week. He has created a gofundme account to raise the money to fix his window.
