SEATTLE -- Fire crews extracted a person stuck inside a car following a train vs. vehicle collision Monday morning in South Seattle.

Fire crews tweeted about the incident around 11:20 a.m. The initial 911 call came into the Fire Alarm Center at 11:13 a.m. reporting the crash. A light pole had also fallen on top of the car, which was jammed between a guardrail and a train.

A short time later, the conscious driver was extricated. Medics transported the 50-year-old male driver to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, but with complaints of neck and back pain.

Seattle police are investigating the cause of the crash.
