Sammamish's Eastlake stays alive, beats Iowa in Little League World Series
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.-- The Eastlake team from Sammamish survived the losers bracket on Monday to stay alive in the Little League World Series with a 6-5 win over Urbandale, Iowa.
Jacob Dahlstrom, who left Sunday's game after being hit in the knee by a line drive, was cleared to play and he was a factor for Eastlake. In the top of the first inning, he singled to drive in Dalton Chandler to give Sammamish a 2-0 lead. In the the top of the sixth, Dahlstrom singled again to drive in a run, capping off a 4-4 night. Sammamish led 6-2 and held off an Urbandale rally to win 6-5.
Eastlake will face Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Pacific time.
