Seattle City Council to consider funding preschool for 3 & 4 year olds
Three and four year olds of lower income families in Seattle could be eligible for free preschool in a couple of years, if a proposal before the city council is approved, according to the Seattle Times.
A resolution could be introduced next month through the council’s Government Performance Committee and voters could be asked to fund the measure sometime next year.
The Times reports a voluntary preschool program for all city children could start in 2015.
