Space Needle ready for biggest fireworks display ever
SEATTLE -- The Space Needle is all set for what's being called the largest display of fireworks in the history of the show.
Crews put the final touches on the eight-minute display Tuesday afternoon. Tens of thousands of individual fireworks are set up and down the needle.
If the fog continues, you'll be able to see the fireworks on the lower levels of the needle.
Parties at the Sky City Restaurant and the observation deck are sold out, but you can still watch the fireworks from the Seattle Center grounds and surrounding neighborhoods.
Seattle police will have extra patrols at the Space Needle and other areas where large crowds are expected.
