Tacoma man pleads guilty to raping, killing 2-year-old
TACOMA -- a 19-year-old Tacoma man pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and child rape Monday morning, following the death of a 2-year-old boy, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.
Jake Musga, pleaded guilty to killing Chayson Colley in Pierce County Superior Court. He faces life in prison.
In late March, police were called Musga's home in the Commencement Terrace apartment complex after receiving reports of Colley having trouble breathing. Musga came forward to police holding a bruised and battered child, and said that the mother of the child had left the baby in his care.
Colley was taken to the hospital where he was shown to have a blood-alcohol level of .12 and showed no brain activity. He also had severe bruising around his rectum. Musuga was arrested.
He will be sentenced on Nov. 21, the News Tribune reported.
