Two bodies discovered in Pierce County home; one man arrested

FIFE, Wash. -- A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a man and a woman were found shot to death in a house near Fife.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, some friends of the victims went to the home on the 1000 block of 66th Avenue East around 5 p.m. Thursday. Nobody answered the door and they became worried.

The friends told authorities they could see two bodies through the window, so they called 9-1-1.

Detective Ed Troyer said a motive was not clear. He said detectives found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the house.

Autopsies were scheduled for Friday. The victims, a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, have not yet been identified.

The suspect has not been named because he has not yet been charged.
