Two in custody after early morning shooting in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash – Two people are in custody after an early morning shooting in Tacoma that left one person injured.

Tacoma police say that at 3:45 a.m. they received several calls about shots being fired in the area.

Police say when they arrived on scene a large crowd dissipated and they found a 24-year-old male with life-threatening injuries.  He was transported to a local hospital.

Police arrested a male and female a few blocks away. They are being held on suspicion of drive-by shooting and weapons violations.

Police are investigating the incident and questioning witnesses the area.
