WMW fugitive arrested minutes before rap performance

haroldFUGITIVE CAPTURED April 4, 2013 -- Great work by Kent police and its Special Investigations Unit in tracking down wanted fugitive, Harold Murphy. He was set to rap at 'Benchwarmer' in Kent on Thursday night, but thanks to a WMW viewer tip called into Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, and forwarded to Kent police, its SIU team was waiting outside the club when Murphy rolled-up in a convertible Mercedes with three other men in the car with him. Kent police arrested him right there on the spot. He never stepped foot in the club, and never performed like the packed house had come to see. He is Washington's Most Wanted's 394th capture. FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY June 22, 2012 -- Harold Murphy is a violent offender who's on the run — and could be on the prowl, too. Pimping out girls is only one of the tricks in Murphy's bag, and cops think this inked-up flesh peddler could be lining up his next victim. Pimping out a 16-year-old girl is just one of the crimes our top fugitive has been busted for and now he's in the wind and could be looking for new prey to put on the streets. Murphy is wanted by the Department of Corrections in King County for escape and skipping out on domestic violence treatment. Cops busted Murphy for pimping out the girl after they worked with girl's mother to call the number listed on her Craigslist ad so that the could flush him out. She confirmed it was her daughter on the phone and police discovered Murphy was the man pimping her out. He's a known gang member who has also been busted for illegally having a gun, robbery, trying to run from cops and a crazy chain of crimes that started with him ripping off his ex-girlfriend's ride — she was lucky to get away without getting hurt worse. Murphy is 22-years-old and told his corrections officer he wanted a probation transfer to California, but officers wouldn't be surprised if he's still in King County. If you spot convicted pimp and high-violent offender Harold Murphy or know where he's hiding right now, call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Your call is guaranteed to be anonymous and if information you provide leads to an arrest, you could be in line for up to a $1,000 cash reward.
