World's 'highest' concert? Mudhoney rocks the top of the Space Needle
Mudhoney may not be as well known as other Seattle-based bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden, but the band has an impact that still resonates today as they were the reason that the now heralded record label, Sub Pop, came to be -- the label's first release was also Mudhoney's first single, "Touch Me I'm Sick."
Since then, the band has weathered the ups and downs of the music industry, leaving Sub Pop for a major label, and then returning to Sub Pop in 2002. The band continues to tour, and released the new album "Vanishing Point" in April on Sub Pop.
In celebration of Sub Pop's 25th anniversary, the foursome took to the top of the Space Needle to rock Seattle like nobody's business.
