On the Sidelines S1E41: Guest Terry Hollimon, Seahawks and Huskies

Former Washington Husky running back Terry Hollimon joins the show to talk all things football. The guys discuss the Seahawks' shutout of the Vikings and put the spotlight on the defense. Ernest Jones was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week but Ethan and D Jack highlight a few other players who stood out. Should Julian Love start right away when he's healthy? Why Terry and D Jack say Ty Okada has earned his spot in the starting lineup. The guys also talk Sam Darnold and how confident they are in him leading this offense down the stretch and whether the blueprint is out on how to stop this Seahawks offense. Then, the guys turn to college and talk Huskies. They breakdown Demond Williams' play at quarterback in his first year as the starter and talk about the trajectory of the program under Jedd Fisch. They also discuss Lane Kiffin's controversial move to LSU and what it says about the current era of College Football.

The Washington Football Team (8-4 overall, 5-4 Big Ten) will take on Boise State (9-4, 6-2 MWC) on Saturday in the L.A. Bowl.

In the regular season finale, Washington fell to Oregon 26-14. Williams led Washington with 129 yards on 15-of-30 passing (50.0%) for two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also carried the ball 10 times for 27 yards. Adam Mohammed had 105 rushing yards on 14 carries, adding two receptions for 18 yards. Dezmen Roebuck put up 27 yards on two catches.

Saturday's bowl game will be the seventh all-time meeting between the Huskies and the Broncos. The other meetings were the second game of the 2007 season, the 2012 Las Vegas Bowl, the 2013 and 2015 season openers, the 2019 Las Vegas Bowl and the 2023 opener.
