Earlier this month, the Yellowstone region saw some of the worst flooding in its history. Several roads, buildings and trees were destroyed by the rushing water in an area known for its pristine beauty.

Seattle wading pools will open Saturday for those looking to beat the heat this weekend, but the Magnuson Park pool will remain closed due to fire damage from unauthorized bonfires. 

Summer will finally make an appearance in the Pacific Northwest this weekend after an unusually cool and wet spring, but it's not all good news as temperatures are expected to reach dangerously hot levels.

The sweltering heat across the U.S. has so far led to six hot car deaths this year, according to a leading child safety organization.

A strong ridge of high pressure will strengthen over the Pacific Northwest Friday through the weekend sending temperatures into the 80s and even low 90s in spots.

Just before sunrise, a display of cool, blue appeared high above the horizon. But despite the Pacific Northwest's relentless bouts of rain this spring, these clouds were not a sign of wetter hours to come.

Saturday marks the first day of the year that temperatures will reach the 80s in the Seattle area. By Monday, it'll be closer to 90 degrees!

The clouds are evaporating this morning, revealing beautiful sunny skies to start Thursday.

It's been a long time coming, but in a few days it will really feel like summer!
