U.S. Postal Inspectors are asking for the public's help to find Matthew David Krutenat, 41, who has been accused of breaking into multiple P.O. boxes inside the Kingston post office.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest for burglary. Inspectors say Krutenat could be in Kitsap County, Snohomish County, Seattle or Bellevue.
The suspect was caught on a surveillance video from June 21st pulling into the post office parking lot in a silver or light-colored early 2002 to 2006 Cadillac Escalade with no visible license plate, according to inspectors.
Investigators say the video shows Krutenat entering the building around midnight where he spends more than four minutes breaking into multiple boxes and stealing the mail.
"We're still looking to determine how he got into the P.O. Boxes, what tool he may have used and then he leaves" said U.S. Postal Inspector John Wiegand. "So, he knew what he was doing. He knew where he was going and he planned to do this."
Krutenat has prior felony convictions for Hit-and-Run DV Harassment, Stalking and Trafficking in Stolen Property.
He also has multiple pending cases in King County from 2020 for Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft 3rd Degree, Identity Theft 2nd Degree, Firearm Possession Unlawful 2nd Degree Previous Conviction, Residential Burglary, another Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Trafficking in Stolen Property 1st Degree
