SEATTLE - Temperatures begin to ramp up Monday as a heat wave blasts Western Washington. Highs peak into mid-lower 90s through the work week, and then we get some relief by the weekend.

As temperatures peak on Tuesday an *Excessive Heat Watch* will go into effect. It'll continue through Friday evening as temperatures range between 90-98 degrees for most.
