Seattle weather: Overnight mountain snow builds before western WA dries out

SEATTLE - A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for our Cascade passes till 10am Sunday. Our area ski resorts picked up around 5-7" of snow today, except for Stevens, which only got about an inch. More light snow will fall overnight Saturday into Sunday, but will taper throughout the day tomorrow. Bluebird skiing is forecast for Monday!
Our mountains and ski slopes picked up about 1-7" of snow in the last 24 hours.
A sloppy Saturday night around Western Washington with widespread rain around the region. Rainfall totals will range from .25" to .50". Isolated higher amounts possible in spots. By Sunday morning, it will turn more showery, drying late in the day. Our weather is trending drier by next week with some fog on Monday and Tuesday morning.
Rain wrapping up during the day on Sunday with fog developing by Monday morning.
Afternoon highs will continue near normal in the upper 40s to low 50s. The long term outlook for the first week of January is showing it will be warmer and drier than average.

After a soggy first weekend of 2025, the upcoming week is looking drier through at least Thursday. Morning fog will develop on Monday and Tuesday. Slight chances of showers returning by the end of the week and next weekend.
Rain wrapping up by Sunday afternoon with drier weather for much of next week.
