Bonney Lake police seek help in locating suspects in $72K WA theft ring

The Bonney Lake Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects, Sean Barrett and Eleta Ainsback, who are linked to a series of thefts totaling more than $72,000 in stolen Apple watches and Samsung phones from T-Mobile and AT&T stores since the beginning of October.

Detectives have identified Barrett, 46, and Ainsback, 29, as the suspects in over 30 theft incidents across multiple cities, including stores in Everett, Lynnwood, Bothell, Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Federal Way, Enumclaw, Tacoma, Silverdale, and Chehalis. Both are wanted for first-degree organized retail theft.

Surveillance photos from the thefts reveal distinctive clothing choices that may help the public identify them. Barrett is often seen in casual workout attire, frequently wearing a sweatshirt and a black Vans hat, which he has been caught on camera wearing in Lacey and Puyallup. During one incident in Auburn, he was dressed entirely in camouflage, from shorts to jacket to hat.

Ainsback, who often wears ripped jeans, was last seen at a Tacoma T-Mobile store wearing a similar outfit. She also often wears slides and has a large tattoo on the left side of her neck.  Additionally, she has been seen in UGG-style boots during a theft at the Bonney Lake T-Mobile store.

Please call 911 if you spot Barrett or Ainsback. Both suspects are believed to be transient.

If you have other information to help locate them, you can send an email to detective@cobl.us or call the BLPD Tip Line at 253-447-3231.
