1 dead, half-dozen injured in SR-7 car crash

EATONVILLE -- At least one person was dead and six others were injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Eatonville, Washington State Patrol troopers said.

According to patrol trooper Guy Gill, one adult male died in a crash at 10 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 7 and 310th Street East. At least two adults and four children were being treated at Tacoma-area hospitals after the crash.

Their condition was not known at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Gill said the causing driver crossed over the center line and struck the other vehicle, carrying two adults and four children. The causing driver was the man who died, Gill said.

According to Gill, the causing driver called his girlfriend 10 minutes before the crash and complained of "chest pains."
