Police investigating fatal shooting at Tacoma hospital
Tacoma police are actively investigating after a man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting at MultiCare Allenmore Hospital on Wednesday.
TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma police are actively investigating after a man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting at MultiCare Allenmore Hospital on Wednesday.
What we know:
Police confirmed that a man was fatally shot and a woman was injured but is stable.
According to the Tacoma Police Department, the suspect and male victim got into an altercation outside the hospital, and the suspect followed him into the emergency room lobby, where the shooting occurred.
Multicare officials told FOX 13 Seattle that Allenmore is open and operating normally Thursday morning.
The emergency department is open for walk-ins, but the waiting room remains closed for the investigation. Ambulances are still being diverted.
What we don't know:
Police are still searching for a suspect.
