13-year-old girls dressed as fruit arrested for mischief
CENTRALIA -- When is fruit going to learn that crime doesn't pay?
Two 13-year-old girls dressed in banana costumes were arrested Sunday after they were allegedly spotted by a Centralia army area resident spray-painting the side of a building.
Centralia police said a witness called police and said the girls were spray-painting a building in the 1000 block of F Street in Centralia, Wash. The witness followed the girls to their home and called police.
Police arrived at the home and found the peeled banana costumes lying on the ground. The girls were arrested on suspicion of third-class malicious mischief. They were quickly released to their parents, officials said.
