20 units evacuated in Queen Anne apartment fire
SEATTLE -- Some Queen Anne dwellers got an early scare Tuesday morning when fire broke out on the roof of a crowded apartment complex.
Firefighters said the fire started on a roof of an apartment in the 2200 block of 14th Avenue West around 3:30 a.m. Firefighters quickly knocked out the the blaze on top of the three-story complex, and evacuated its residents.
Twenty units were evacuated but no apartments were damaged and no one was injured.
Residents were slated to be allowed back in their homes shortly after 5:30 a.m.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
