23k lbs of beef products recalled
WASHINGTON -- More than 23,000 pounds of ground beef products are being recalled on fears they may be contaminated E. coli bacteria.
The recalled cases come from the National Beef Packing Company, based in Liberal, Kansas.
The recall is categorized as a "class one." That indicates a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
So far no illnesses have been reported in relation to the products. The contamination was found during a routine inspection.
Check with your local grocer to learn if any of the beef under recall was sold in your area.
