3M recalls over 13,000 thermal laminators overheating issue

A recall was issued for 3M thermal laminators because of an overheating problem that may pose a burn risk.
Approximately 13,440 laminators have been recalled and so far, there are no reports of consumers being injured as a result of using the laminators, according to a Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice.
Which thermal laminators are part of the recall?
Why you should care: The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the Scotch™ Thermal Laminator, model TL909-50, is light gray and white with gray accents, and the word "Scotch" is printed in gray on the front.

Additionally, the laminating slot is 9 inches wide, with a model and serial number located on a sticker on the bottom of the laminator.
CPSC officials explained in their notice that only units with serial numbers between 2406000001 and 2501001920 are included in the recall.
If I have the thermal laminator, can I get a refund?
What you can do:
Owners of this laminator should stop using the device, unplug it, and call the 3M company to receive a full refund.
Consumers are required to fill out a short form to confirm that your laminator is part of the recall, along with an uploaded picture of the device that doesn’t show the unplugged power cord.
Refunds will be issued in the form of a mailed check once the form is completed and confirmation that the laminator’s power cord isn’t displayed in the photo.
