AMBER Alert canceled, Auburn boy found safe

UPDATE: Auburn police say the boy was found safe shortly after 5 p.m. They received a phone call from the woman’s husband saying she had returned home with the child.

AUBURN, Wash. -- Police are searching for a 7-year-old Auburn boy taken by his mother. They say the mother made threatening statements about harming the child.

Devin Owens is 4' tall, 60 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The child's mother, 41-year-old Kara Owens, is 5' 7", 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

They may be traveling in a red 2015 Toyota Highlander with Washington plates ATR7710. They were last seen at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
