Amtrak train to Chicago hits bulldozer
WILLISTON, N.D. -- An Amtrak train headed from Seattle to Chicago crashed into a bulldozer at 6:28 p.m. Monday, and two engineers onboard suffered minor injuries, the Seattle Times reported.
The train hit the bulldozer in the evening but largely managed to stay on the tracks, the Times reported. None of the 300 passengers was hurt, but passengers were stuck on board the train awaiting the arrival of another car before continuing on to Chicago.
The Times reported that passengers were comfy and happy, and had both power and food. It was unknown when a new train was expected.
The condition of the bulldozer driver was unknown.
