Another boil-water advisory issued for King County
RAVENSDALE - A boil-water advisory is in effect for customers of the Cristalina Water Company in eastern King County.
The Washington State Department of Health (WA DOH) issued the advisory on Saturday after fecal coliform was detected during routine monitoring. The state's department f health advised customers who have water service to boil tap water before drinking, brushing teeth, preparing food, washing dishesand making ice.
Customers who’ve lost power and have no water service should take the same precautions when their water service is restored.
This water system serves 85 homes east of Ravensdale in King County. The service area runs from Kent-Kangley Road from 309th Avenue SE to 316th Avenue SE.
The health department is working closely with the water system to find the source of contamination and fix the problem, officials said. The advisory will remain in effect until the Department of Health is satisfied the water meets safe-drinking standards. Customers will be notified when the advisory is over.
