Burglary suspect turned in by cabbie
SEATTLE -- An 82-year old Edmonds woman was attacked when she arrived home around 3 p.m. Friday and found two men burglarizing her home n the 22800 block of 75th Avenue West. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
The woman told police the men were Asian and in their 40s and that they fled on foot. Edmonds police quickly located one of the suspects as he was trying to hide and took him into custody.
The other suspect fled on foot, heading west on SR 99. A Lynnwood K-9 unit responded in an attempt to track the suspect but was unable to locate him.
The second suspect was taken into custody after an Orange Cab driver contacted dispatch after the suspect hopped in for a ride. The cabbie pulled into a gas station and police took the suspect into custody.
