BUSTED: Good Samaritan captures burglars on video, cops make quick arrests (VIDEO)
TACOMA -- A watchful good Samaritan looking after his dead neighbor's house caught two thieves in the act Saturday, managing to record the men on camera and call police just in time.
Police received a call of a burglary around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of South 51st Street in Tacoma. The caller said he was watching two men burglarize his dead neighbors house in the middle of the day, and the men appeared to be loading up their car and planned to drive away soon.
Officers called to the scene spotted the men as the two were trying to flee the scene with stolen goods. The men were arrested and booked on burglary, possession of burglary tools and outstanding warrants.
The good Samaritan neighbor also handed police security video recordings of what appeared to be at least one of the same men breaking in to the home the night before. The good Samaritan told police he started reviewing his video recordings Saturday morning after he noticed his neighbor's door was propped open.
Police believe an additional suspect may still be outstanding. Anyone who has knowledge of the burglary, or identify the burglars robbing the home at night is encouraged to call 911.
