Deputies: Realtor heard woman's screams for help before discovering dead father, son
WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — A realtor preparing a home for sale heard calls for help coming from inside, deputies said, before finding a father and infant son dead and a mother injured in what appears to be a case of domestic violence.
According to Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo, 60-year-old Michael D. Jordan and 15-month-old Miles Jordan were found dead Sunday afternoon at a home in the 5000 block of Noon Road. Erin Lee Agren, 43, was alive and calling for help.
Agren allegedly later admitted to killing her husband and their infant son, then turning a gun on herself.
Deputies say the real estate agent was preparing to show the house when he made the gruesome discovery. Upon entering the home, the real estate agent found the dead man and boy lying in bed. Agren was found on the ground with a gunshot wound to her left shoulder.
Agren was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to be booked in to Whatcom County Jail on investigation of two counts of first-degree murder.
Sheriff Elfo said investigators believe the shooting may have happened a couple of days ago. They do not know if the woman or family had a history of domestic violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
