Deputy hits, hurts man with patrol car early Saturday morning

LAKE STEVENS, Wash – A man in his 50’s was hit by a Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputy early Saturday morning according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the man was wearing dark clothing and headphones when the on-duty deputy hit him along SR92 and Callow Road.

The 51-year-old man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries. He is reportedly still at Harborview Medical Center where he remains in serious condition.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit is looking into the crash and the unnamed deputy is on paid leave.
