Do you drive Mercer or its side streets? SDOT issues advisory on closures this week
SEATTLE -- SDOT advises travelers of the following activities within the Mercer Corridor Project Area:
Full closure of Taylor Ave. N between Mercer and Roy streets for water line work October 7
On Tuesday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Taylor Ave. N will be fully closed between Roy and Mercer streets as crews conduct water line work. Travelers can expect the following impacts:
Following this work, Taylor Ave. N will continue to be restricted to southbound travel only through October as crews complete water line connections and paving in the roadway. Travelers from westbound Mercer St. should use 5th Ave. N to continue north to the Queen Anne neighborhood.
Nighttime lane restrictions on southbound Dexter Ave. N between Roy and Mercer streets October 6-11
Southbound Dexter Ave. N will be restricted to one lane between Roy and Mercer streets from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. nightly, beginning the evening of Monday, October 6, and continuing through the morning of Saturday, October 11, for water line installation. Travelers can expect the following impacts:

Nighttime lane restrictions on Mercer St. through October 10
Single lane restrictions on Mercer St. between 5th Ave. N and 9th Ave. N will be in effect weeknights, from October 6-10 for utility work. Travelers can expect the following impacts:
Full closure of 4th Ave. N and Republican St. between 5th Ave. N and Mercer St. October 14-24
Beginning Tuesday, October 14 and continuing for ten days, 4th Ave. N and Republican St. between 5th Ave. N and Mercer St. will be fully closed to traffic as crews conduct street and sidewalk improvements. Travelers can expect the following impacts:
