D'oh! The Simpsons to kill off a main character
LOS ANGELES -- During a conference to promote the 25th season of the cartoon, Al Jean, the executive producer of "The Simpsons" revealed that one of the main characters will be killed off next season.
The show is remaining tight-lipped about which character will die, but we did get a hint.
"I'll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won't say who it is," Jean said.
Almost all of the major characters have won Emmy awards.
In its 25 seasons, "The Simpsons" has killed off seven characters -- Homer's Las Vegas wife, Amber (Season 16) and Ned's wife Maude Flanders (Season 11) among them.
The newest season of "The Simpsons" kicked off last Sunday on Q13 FOX.
