Downward trend at the gas pump

SEATTLE - Drivers are seeing small signs of relief at the pump in the Puget Sound.

The average price in Seattle has fallen 1.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.90 a gallon, according to the gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Despite the slight decrease, gas prices are still 22 cents higher than they were one year ago, and 11 cents higher than last month.

Even though we're seeing gas prices go down, we're still paying a lot more than other parts of the country.  The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.63 a gallon.
