Eastbound I-90 reopened at Snoqualmie Pass; chains still required
SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. – All lanes of I-90 near Snoqualmie Pass were reopened after severe weather forced crews to close eastbound lanes Wednesday afternoon, WSDOT says.
The department says that the road was closed near Denny Creek around 4 p.m., about 5 miles west of the summit, after heavy snowfall caused multiple drivers to crash or spin out. The road was reopened around 5:30 p.m.
WSDOT says drivers should be prepared for snowy conditions and traction tires are required for all vehicles except for 4WD or AWD.
