Enumclaw bicyclist suffers life-threatening injuries

KING COUNTY -- A 60-year-old female bicyclist was flown to Harborview Medical Center after colliding with a truck Sunday evening in Enumclaw.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, a bicyclist and a Ford F550 flat bed truck collided in the 37400 block of 244th Avenue SE around 7 p.m. Sunday. The crash took place on a curve in the road, and deputies called to the scene said the bicyclist suffered severe injuries. She was airlifted to Harborview, where her condition was immediately unknown Monday morning.

Officers said the 19-year-old male driver of the truck showed no signs of impairment at the time of the crash. The sheriff's office is investigating the crash.
