Everett police investigating shooting at Taco Bell
EVERETT – Everett police were investigating after one person was shot at a Taco Bell on Monday afternoon.
One victim was transported to the hospital, police said.
Police said the man, who is in his 20s, was shot in the upper leg or hip after getting into an altercation with another man in the restaurant's parking lot.
Police said witnesses told them the two men got in a fight, and the suspect ended up opening fire. The victim was bleeding badly, so police applied a tourniquet while they were waiting for paramedics.
The suspect is a black man driving a white passenger vehicle, but no further suspect information was is available yet.
The shooting happened at the Taco Bell at 7431 Evergreen Way.
