Fire rips through 3rd story apartment
KENMORE, Wash. -- Firefighters were called to a fire at a 3-story apartment building Friday morning in Kenmore.
Crews received calls of a large fire sometime after 6 a.m. at a 3-story apartment building in the 18000 block of 73rd Avenue. The fire started on the top floor. At least seven fire engines were on scene, and the blaze was reportedly extinguished shortly after 7 a.m.
Six people were displaced, but no one was injured. Two units were damaged.
Crews received initial reports of multiple people trapped inside the building, including three children, but those reports turned out to be incorrect.
The Red Cross is on the scene to help those displaced by the blaze.
