Fire torches Lynnwood home, two cars
LYNNWOOD -- A 2-alarm fire burned down a home and lit two cars on fire early Wednesday morning as fire fighters evacuated neighbors and kept the blaze from spreading any further.
Officials received calls of a house fire around 2:12 a.m. from a residence in 1800 block of 204th Place SW. Upon arriving on scene, first responders immediately called for a second alarm as the blaze continued to grow out of control.
Authorities said there were 6-8 people inside the home at the time of the fire and all of them managed to get out safely. Neighbors also evacuated their homes as the fire continued to grow and move towards nearby residences.
Officials managed to extinguish the blaze before it spread any further, but the home is considered to be a complete loss. Hours after the blaze began, crews were still on scene putting out hot spots.
Investigators have not been able to get inside to asses the situation. Authorities said they don't know how the fire started or where it originated.
