FORECAST: Summer weather is on the way!

SEATTLE -- Spring is winding down and summer is only hours away. Western Washington will warm this weekend under the influence of high pressure.

Tomorrow, expect a few morning clouds to burn off and give way to sunshine and highs near 75 degrees.

This ridge will cause a split flow, meaning that the jet stream splits into two different directions.

This will likely cause part of the state to see a few morning clouds while the rest of western Washington starts of sunny.

Regardless, highs will warm to near 80 degrees in the Sound and near 70 on the coast by Sunday afternoon.

Tomorrow marks the longest day of the year with the arrival of the summer solstice.

Sunrise is at 5:12am and the sun sets at 9:10pm. This gives us 16 hours of delicious daylight to enjoy!
