Former high school teacher caught in online sex sting sentenced to 16 months

KENT -- Former Kentridge High School teacher Brent Conley, 27, was sentenced Friday to 16 months for agreeing online to pay $100 to have sex with a fictitious 15-year-old girl, who in reality was an uncover detective posing as a cheerleader.

Conley was new to Kentridge High School; he taught social studies and English for 9th and 10th graders.

It all started when a Seattle police detective placed an ad online pretending to be a young cheerleader looking for cash from older men. Conley admitted to cops that he planned on having sex with the girl, but when he showed up to meet the girl he met vice cops who put him in handcuffs.
