Harrowing flood video: Rushing water sweeps man under van, into ravine

LAS VEGAS -- Video captured by a Fox 13 viewer near Las Vegas shows the recent devastation of floods in the Southwest U.S.

According to the description on YouTube from Shane Durkan, the video shows a car being caught in flooding waters on Interstate 15 about 30 miles north of Las Vegas.

The driver jumps from the van at the 1:37 mark in the vido, but appears to be sucked under again. Both driver and the van appear to go down the flooding ravine.

What happened to the driver is unknown. Fox 13 checked with the Nevada Department of Public Safety and no deaths have been reported from the flooding at this time.

Fox 13 has not been able to reach friends or family to confirm the man's condition.
