Holy bookmobile -- library lands on creative way to deliver books
SEATTLE -- The Seattle Public Library is working on a pedal-powered bookmobile to deliver books this summer at local parks and events.
The eco-friendly bookmobile boasts a custom built-bike trailer designed to carry library books and DVDs, which are placed in a waterproof box for transport and are protected with a built-in umbrella so they can be displayed without getting damaged.
The Books on Bikes pilot program launches this summer. SPL will be releasing additional information on May 21, including a schedule of where the bookmobile bikes will be this summer.
