Honda recalls 256,000 Accord Hybrids over software issue that may increase crash risk

Honda issued a voluntary recall of 256,000 vehicles because of a software issue that could raise the risk of a crash or injury.
The automaker said in a company release that the Integrated Control Module (ICM) might reset while the car is in operation and may cause a loss of power while driving.

Owners of the recalled cars will be notified by mail to take their vehicles to a Honda dealership where staff can reprogram the Integrated Control Module (ICM) with better software.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a recall notice that vehicle identification numbers (VINs) involved in this recall can also be found on NHTSA.gov.
