It's almost summer...
SEATTLE -- The overall pattern is a big low-pressure system offshore. Most of the time it will be dry and muggy with pleasant high temperatures.
There are passing showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly in the evening hours. Most of the rain will stay up in the foothills and mountains of both the Olympics and Cascades. There will be some heavy rain up in the North Cascades each afternoon.
Thursday is the last day of spring 2013. The summer solstice is at 10:04 p.m. Thursday. Friday will be the first full day of summer. The longest days of the year will be this Thursday and Friday, with 16 hours of daylight. Enjoy.
The weekend looks really nice, with lots of sunshine and highs in the 70s. Happy summer 2013.
