King County Council chairman recovering from slight stroke
SEATTLE -- King County Council Chairman Larry Gossett suffered a slight stroke earlier this month, but is now recovering at home and will not return to work until Sept. 23, it was announced Thursday.
"On Sept. 2, Larry Gossett was checked into the hospital where it was determined that he suffered a slight stroke," a County Council news release said. "After two days in the hospital, he was released.
"He is doing well, but under doctor's advice not to return to work until Sept. 23," it said. "There are no expectations of any lasting residual effects of the stroke."
